This picture was taken Tuesday. I was 36 weeks and 2 days. I also had my midwife appointment where I was unfortunately lectured because I am still sick. I have been sick for between 4-6 weeks so far. Coughing, sneezing, tired... Doesn't feel good with an almost full term belly. I have been ordered to go to the Dr. for antibiotics by the end of the week if it isn't better. :(
Her heartbeat was in the 140's and sounded strong! My blood pressure was good and all seems to be well. The one thing that I had as a complaint this time around was how intense the braxton hicks (BH) contractions have been. She informed me that this happens the more babies you have. Pretty crazy... I've had one BH contraction last for 5 minutes... it isn't painful, but it is intense.
My belly grew two centimeters in the last two weeks and is now measuring at 35 centimeters which is technically small, but she has already dropped so Ann said that it isn't reliable as an actually measurement at this point. I also learned that I have only gained 15 lbs during this whole pregnancy so far! That is far below what I gained with my previous two. I will thank the Paleo lifestyle for that!
Yes, I look excruciatingly tired in this picture... Mostly because it was late in the evening and I've been sick and it's been difficult sleeping lately with all the aches and pains associated with being this far along. I will say that since then, I feel much better and intend on only feeling better from here on out!
In other news, the boys are now officially in their bunk beds and absolutely love it! Nathan finished them about a week ago and we couldn't wait to get them into the room so the boys started sleeping on them a week ago today actually! We have rearranged their room a bit and we are trying to get our room arranged to fit her crib until we move her into the boys room in a few months. We finally have a car seat and we feel like we are close to ready. Still have a bit to do, but at this point if she came early, all would be well.

35 and more
Today marks 35 weeks of pregnancy and 35 days until my due date! If our little girl is anything like her brothers, she should show her pretty face within a couple days of the due date.
Things have been going well for the most part. Pregnancy is hard... I've decided though that I have it pretty easy... I think I mostly just get annoyed with the inconvenience of pregnancy. I can't sleep so I get cranky, I am hungry a lot, I have a ball attached to my belly that makes activity difficult and I can't eat certain foods. I know I have a ton to be thankful for because there are so many woman out there who have much more difficult pregnancies than I have. So I am grateful for the ease of this pregnancy and my previous two.
Nathan is still working hard on the bunks. They look great! It is going to be a nice ebony color but here is a sneak peak at the bed before staining and finishing touches.
about a month ago Nate discovered a fun app for my iPhone that allows trailer editing... He spent a few hours on this adorable video of our kids. I shared it on Facebook before so you may recognize it.
I was outside playing with the boys and put this one together in about 15 minutes... You can tell the quality difference from Nate's and mine because he actually had the patience to make it cool. Mine on the other hand still turned out fun even though it is seriously the same shot and the cast members were less than enthusiastic about the whole thing.

26 weeks!
This is my belly at 26 weeks 4 days or almost 7 months
I had my midwife appointment this evening! My belly is measuring big! She is measuring at 27.5 weeks. I had a huge growth spurt a couple weeks ago so I guess that measurement was proof that I wasn't just seeing/feeling things. :) Her heart rate was in the 140's and seems to be head down despite the kicking I feel that is low... she must just have really strong punching arms. Crazy girl! I have had a itchy rash on my belly for a few months now so we did a blood test for my liver. I will get the results within the next couple weeks. I'm sure all is well, but they just want to be sure. Our next appointment is March 5th and then we start with every two weeks!

39 Weeks
Officially 39 weeks. I'm starting to take bets on when I'm going to deliver. :) I'll update you on my recent midwife appointment and then refresh your memory of my last delivery. But first... Here's a picture of my 39 week kankles... Please enjoy and yes, you can poke fun... I know their lives will be short lived.
So my appointment went good. I'm measuring big apparently and Winni (my midwife) says that she thinks the baby will be 8 lbs then she said "more on the 8 side, less on the 7 side". I'm not entirely sure what that means, but when I was pregnant with Zeke, my midwife was absolutely convinced I was going to have an 8+ lb baby, but he ended up being 7 lbs 15 ozs. Close, but not quite 8! You can start guessing size too. Zeke was 20 1/2 inches long.

The sweetest brother
I have to write this down because I never ever want to forget, but I feel super hazy on the details.
Today Ezekiel and I were sitting on the couch together (he was sad because he fell off a chair). He was snuggling with me and then started talking about "brother". He touched my belly, then looked up at me and said "out?" I said, "out what?" he said "open, door?" "brother?" then he just looked at me... I thought about what he was trying to say and asked "Zeke? Do you want me to open a door on my belly to let brother come out?" He said "ok" with his eyes lit up with excitement. Unfortunately, I had to tell him that his brother would let us know when he was ready to come out. I can't just open a door to let him out yet. But, when he does come out he would need lots of kisses from his brother. Zeke's response. "ok" with just as much excitement.
What a sweet boy.

First belly picture
36 weeks 2 days with baby #2
I realize we've been slacking in the picture department this time around (thanks for the prompting Beth). We are having issues uploading pictures to our overloaded hard drive at the moment so this was taken today through the bathroom mirror with my cell phone as you can see. =)

The results are in...
We had our ultrasound yesterday and our baby is measuring perfectly for the due date of June 30, 2010. The baby has adorable feet and was moving around ferociously.
And now to the info you've all been waiting for...
Drum roll please...

We're really excited about Zeke having a little brother and he is too! He even tries to say it by saying, "brober." it's so cute!

Joe & Jolene's wedding invites
Last night Jem, Keturah and I helped our future sister-in-law build her wedding invitations! It was pretty fun... and we finished almost all of them! Those girls got me laughing harder than I've laughed in a while. It was quite the ab workout. :) During our dinner break, I discovered that my belly is more useful than previously noted... Then Jem got jealous. ha!

38 Weeks today!
Well, I'm 38 weeks today. It's been pretty surreal lately, trying to get all the last minute details done before the baby arrives... Unfortunately, we don't know when the exact arrival date is. I guess that's how it goes though. Just a waiting game... For now, I'm at peace with becoming more and more uncomfortable each day and spending extra time with my husband before we are both extremely distracted by this amazing new addition to our family. God has been so good to us and we both feel extremely blessed with the timing of this baby and with the the ease (for the most part) of the pregnancy. I'm looking forward to spending the summer getting to know him/her. :)
