What a day!

I hope you all had a happy Memorial Day weekend!  We had quite an eventful one!
Friday we went to Birch Bay and BBQ'd with Amit & Betsy then finished the day with Ironman.
Saturday we went to the Ski to Sea Parade with Joe, Jolene and Kaden.  Sunday we went to church and then to the Fairhaven Festival and listened to the live band and had lunch.  Then ice cream cones and a walk to Boulevard Park.  Then today... Memorial Day Zeke decided that it was time to make some changes.
  • We clipped his bangs for the first time because his hair was in his eyes.
  • He decided to WALK!
  • He played pretend with me! while I was changing his diaper he pretended that he put something is his mouth and then when I played along to see what he would do, he opened his mouth to show me nothing was there and then started laughing!
  • We changed his car seat to be forward facing and he loves it!
He's becoming super independent.  We think it's because he's walking now, but who knows, he could be walking because he wants to be independent.  Whatever it is that he is doing, I think it's adorable.  It's such an amazing thing, to watch your child figure out how things work or discover humor. We're so extremely proud of him, but we're also sad that he isn't totally a baby anymore... he's pretty much a toddler.

Walking!!! I want all the details! So many changes and I just saw him a week ago! He is still our baby:) At least when he's sleeping! Glad you had a fun weekend - sounded very action packed! Love you guys! Donna, aka Nate's Mom, aka Zeke's G'ma!

aww that is so exciting! Congrats on him walking!!
They certainly do grow up fast, it's amazing to watch them grow and become more independent. It's around this time (for me at least) that you get a little sad that your baby, is becoming a toddler! It's very bitter sweet.
