Zeke has been feeling sick since Friday. He's been really sweet the whole time. He always tries to get to me to sit on the couch with him by the window to talk about the things we see outside. And of course, Monkey has to be included. :)
Here's where it all starts... Nate was outside washing our windows when he notices this:
Then after realizing that it was our sewer that is messed up, we immediately stopped using water and started freaking out because how are we supposed to have friends thanksgiving at our house if we can't even use the bathroom???!!! So: Abby's boyfriend Jesse came over and helped Nate figure out what needed to be done and how to do it. Thank you so much Jesse for all your help and hard work! We are so, so, so thankful for your willingness to get right into the crap to help us fix our problem.
This thing Nate is holding is what was causing the clog which apparently was about 20-30 feet into our backyard. Here is the beautiful new portion of sewer pipe so we don't have to deal with a messed up sewer anymore! Yay!
Filling the hole back in.
Jesse was so grossed out by the whole thing that he refused the lunch I tried to give him. At one point, he almost face planted in all that crap! I think I would lose my appetite too!
This was a previous hole in our original pipe that was covered up by a small rounded slab of cement.
Thank you so much Jesse for all your knowledge and willingness to help us out! Thanks Cilicia for being so willing to jump in there and do whatever we asked of you and thank you Dad for being willing to give us as much advice as needed and even stopping by to check it out. We are really blessed to have all of you! THANK YOU!
Joe, Jolene and Kaden came over for dinner!!!! It's hard to peg these guys down for any length of time so it was amazing having them over. :) Kaden is so cute and he's getting so big!! I can't believe these pictures were taken 2 weeks ago!
This is where Zeke and I have been going lately for a morning workout. Boulevard park. It's 6 miles round trip walking there and then I do about 45 minutes of circuit training. It's pretty relaxing, but I don't always get a lot done because Zeke is so independent! He runs all over getting into trouble so I can't focus on my work out cause I'm chasing him everywhere!!
Zeke proving he has a mind of his own!
Zeke's feet after a bath. All cute and wrinkly!
He was being adorable with his Aunt Jem the week before her wedding.
We met my parents at Boulevard Park for cake and catch. Yes, that's me dramatically catching the football and that's my dad to stunned at my incredible moves to move. He was picking on me all night!
Zeke and Nathan taking in the beautiful sunset.
The perfect sunset after a wonderful Fathers Day!!
I am so blessed to have married the most wonderful man in the world. Not only is he an amazing husband who loves me and takes care of me, but he's the best Dad I could ever dream up for our son. Nathan is amazing with Zeke and you can see their bond grow stronger every day.
